Map searches are available on the atHome.lu portal.
Several functionalities are available to meet our users’ specific requirements. Search areas may therefore be personalised to find properties in specific areas.
When you click the “map search” button (see above), 3 search modes will be displayed:
Map search modes and options
- Selection of municipalities allows you to choose one or more municipalities to restrict the search to this area. The boundaries of municipalities will then be displayed when you click “selection of municipalities.” Just click one or more of your chosen municipalities (their boundary lines will become thicker) and then confirm.
- Search by radius allows you to select a central point on the map and to extend your search area to a specific perimeter around this point.
Just click the centre of the required area and then move out from it. Once your required perimeter is displayed, click again to confirm your search area.
Once the radius has been specified, the distance in kilometres around the central point is displayed. The radius may be changed using the 4 white dots around the circle.
The white dot in the middle of the circle allows you to move your search area whilst maintaining the selected radius.
- Draw a map allows you to personalise your search area completely by allowing you to select the required search area.
Once you have selected the “Draw a map,” just click the map once to select the first point in the zone and continue clicking to specify its boundaries.
When you have selected your search mode and selected the required search area, you will then be redirected to the atHome.lu homepage. Your location criteria will be memorised, just fill in the other required search criteria (type of property, budget, etc.) and confirm your search. Ads that meet all your search criteria will then be displayed.
You can access the map search mode again and/or change your search on the results page:
You will then be able to access the map, with map positions of properties (if the property’s address is specified in the ad) or indicating the municipality’s centre (if the agency has not provided the property’s address).
An ad overview is displayed on the left of the page. When you click an ad, a tab will open with details about the property, that allows you to go back to the map at any time.
You will also be able to modify your search area or change the search mode on this page. Remember to click “delete” on the right of the “map outline” button to deactivate the previous search mode and then select another.
If you want to go back to the results list display, just click the “list” button in the top right-hand corner of the page.
Happy property hunting!!
